Mother’s Day, 365 Days a Year!

May 9, 2011, Bill Roddy

As I thought of Mother’s Day this past weekend it reminded me of the minutes, hours, days months and the endless years our mothers have been there for us.  The love, emotional energy committed to us as sons, daughters, husbands and friends is a small testament of their unyielding loyalty and unconditional love that echoes throughout the world.  A poem to reflect on my thoughts.

“A letter to the “Mothers in My Life”

Dear “Moms,”

To all of you

I love you.

To those of you dearly departed

I miss you.

To those of you still “keeping me on my toes”

I still need it.

To those of you helping raise my children

I welcome it.

To those of you needing a helping hand

I gratefully extend mine.

To those of you praying for a better world

God hears you.

To all of you

To me it’s Mother’s Day everyday.
